I say "overpriced" and they definitely are pricey but they are about as sturdy and well-made as you can expect from plastic. My kids will hit their aunt up at the book store and come home with monsters that could easily poke an eye out or even crack a skull.
If they had some of their fantasy line in this sale I might actually have picked up a couple for Christmas.

In my TSC, they often have a lot of "toys" right along with everyone lines up to check out - and there is OFTEN a line 5+ deep.
And I've seen it with my own eyes - a parent at TSC picking up something and sure enough, there's a little rug rat asking for a toy as we all are waiting to check out.
Been there - Done That!
Luckily, I don't have Grand-Kids yet!!!
