QD(Quantum Dot) technology puts the Costco one in a higher tier.

The Costco one costs quite a bit more, right?
You are right but I am considering buying 2 which makes it 200each 55 inch also if I buy this one 138 plus tax and 36 warranty is very close to Costco one, 2nd thing is Costco have better warranty

Need a cheap garage tv, might be worth a shot at this price..
I need a cheap exercise room one. I'm sure many of us aren't looking at this as a primary TV and if you are…good luck

My local Walmart had a stack of TVs near the grills. Assuming they're for Black Friday or perhaps this upcoming sale... One stack was a 55 inch Hisense Roku and the other stack was 75 inch Vizio Special Editions... Both stacks had a sign that said Push: Wave 2. Just something to keep in mind.

I had the 65 inch version of the R6 (older model)
The remote was garbage . Constantly remove batteries or unplug tv from wall to resync remote
Hopefully, the newer version is better

Hisense. My nemesis…. Glitchy slow and almost unusable 🤦 but atleast it hasn't died yet. I'll give it that.
FWIW, the first Hisense (65") I bought in 2020 is like this; I just use it as a dumb screen with an external Roku attached. I bought a second (75") Hisense on BF a couple of years ago and that one works great.

Does anyone know if this will turn on to the last input you used, or if it always starts on a loading menu?
If it's a Roku TV there's a setting to tell it to power on to a specific HDMI or the last used input. Default behavior is to power on to the Roku home screen. My MIL had a Roku TV set to always load to an Xfinity box she was paying monthly for. I showed her there's an Xfinity Stream app on Roku that does the same thing as the box. She wasn't even aware that her TV had a Roku interface because that's how the Xfinity people had set it up for her.

My $200 Hisense 55" from Target during Black Friday 2019 is still working fine, it's in a spare bedroom so it gets light use but fires right up every time it does, no lag, no problems.

Does anyone know what hardware platform is in this TV?
Roku has a number of Roku platforms for their TV. I would like to know what that would be.
Here is that info: https://developer.roku.com/en-ca/...ardware.md

Same question. I would guess that it has very cheap components.
It's a $138 55" TV, what kind of "components" would you like? Hisense is a value brand and this is one of their most basic TVs for certain purposes (additional work monitor, spare bedroom, kids room, etc). Do your HW and decide if it's right for you.
This review is pretty clear about what the R6 does well and what it doesn't. https://www.therobinsonbrand.com/...-tv-review

Just buy a cheap TV and plug a Google TV dongle in it. What I do with every TV. Most TV interfaces are just pure garbage though Roku is one of the better ones

Buy 5 from Costco and they are $160 each for the 55".
