I've seen a lot of deals posted about Govee heaters. A few have been recalled due to safety concerns.

The smart electric space heaters can overheat, posing fire and burn hazards. Testing determined the smart electric space heaters do not comply with the voluntary industry safety standard, UL 1278, posing an overheating and fire risk from wireless control features.

About 512,500 (In addition, about 48,600 in Canada)
The firms have received 113 reports of overheating, including seven reports of fires and one report of a minor burn injury.

This voluntary recall involves GoveeLife and Govee's brand's electric smart space heaters with the following model numbers: H7130 (including the H7130101 variation), H7131, H7132, H7133, H7134, and H7135 sold in the USA and Canada. Please check if your heater is on the recall list.
I thought the same thing. I love mine. But….then I am not sure I want to take the risk.
Wonder if it is just because they are app controlled or if it is something else.
