I have a heater connected to a smart plug and my automation turns it on and off based on the temperature and motion in the room.
Definitely do not do that, smart plugs aren't design for that amount of throughput and will melt/cause problems
Better than tesla. Although, it doesn't worth the risk on law suites and hurting of the brand reputation. The recall process is rigid and I need to cut the cord and upload picture.
