I own the 455. It's A LOT of chainsaw. Make sure you need this much power (read: weight) before purchasing. Although, you can throw a smaller bar and chain it.
Just my observations.
2-year limited product warranty; Extend warranty to a total of 5 years with fuel purchase - refer to Warranty Guide PDF for more details

Buy any 2-stroke gas tool*
2. Buy at least 96 fl. oz. of Husqvarna pre-mixed fuel & oil at the same time
3. Register product online at Husqvarna.com/warranty-registration

This gets you 5 years through Husqvarna on these saws...KEEP YOUR Receipt

This makes the deal HOTTER!

The 110 oz Pre Mix is $35 which is insane but worth it to get a 5 year warranty
had this happen with a Husqvarna 260(?) I bought online and the saw needed some minor work and the repair shop asked If i bought it there and then REFUSED me service. Went out to the parking lot and called Husqvarna and they called them and when I walked back in everyone was more helpful. If its Husqvarna and under warranty they HAVE to work on it or risk loosing their Husqvarna dealership. Register your product and keep the receipt. I might add this shop didnt have the best reputation but was the closest so thats why I went there

Would love to jump on this! Gonna hold out a little longer and see if I can find a better deal on clearance in the next couple weeks. Thanks for sharing.

you can always return the fuel after the purchase as well... no way for husky to see that. not the nicest thing to do though.

same exact saw. dealer will however start their units before they hand them over. that way if the carb needs to be dialed in it can be.

your exactly right as i bought a 460 rancher from a dealer and he had to adjust the carb saying Husqvarna ships then on the lean side to pass California specs. its been many years now and the carb has never been touched....good to know they are the same saws

I've had one too, about 18 years.... Ranch use, many acres of trees, storm cleanup/etc., cottonwood, locust, no problems with it (plus the others I have). It is heavy, but it's a decent saw. Since I've had it so long, probably selling at some point since it's still running and upgrading to a pro saw (depending, either lighter with similar power, or similar weight with more power, for more money of course...).
I don't know if they've changed much, but it is a good saw for this price if it's close to what they were.

Had this saw for a few years and it ran great. I have ran various Stihl and echo at about the same size. I think I liked the Stihl better generally but I'd do this again as a new saw. I'd say the warranty is somewhat worthless though. Try getting it serviced at a dealer with a discounted Lowe's receipt.. they won't like it. ( And ymmv on the service

Awesome saw, if you need it. I have about 10 years of use on mine, as a homeowner with 6 wooded acres that are 20-30-60 years old and up to 60 70 feet tall, some dead trees, severe storms, clearing some trees away from the house, enlarging the garden space ... great saw to power through all the big cuts. On the heavy side though for smaller cleanup.

Did research when I purchased the last (light) saw. Echo is well regarded. Quick look now, if I didn't miss anything, Echo is a bit heavier, bit more power, built more like a pro saw. So, for the little difference in price, and if that was my budget, I'd probably go for the Echo, or at least heavily consider it.
I've never needed a dealer for any saw, but factor in where you need to go if there's an issue (also if you live in a big enough area that service dealers have reviews, might want to check that). Echo service is 70 miles one way for me, vs. 30 for Stihl and Husq. (in the closest town). You can have a good saw, but if you have an issue and don't have somewhere easy to get to, and they are difficult to deal with, it can be a pain.

I have had both the 455 and the cs590, I'd go with the 455 any day. The cs590 I had was too temperamental..
