How are these compared to katana 110b or fender rumble 40?

I would love to try a bass katana 110 especially if it improves on my bass cube RX that I really like. My markbass half stack sounds good, full, round, but almost a little too clean which makes me think boring. Maybe my old Peavey mark IV spoiled me or maybe I just need an overdrive pedal?

I think the katana has effects where this Mark Bass is basic EQ. The rumbles have basic models with overdrive and also modeling versions if you want other effects. Have yet to play any of the ones you listed personally.

I was in GC last month looking for a bass combo and I played this Markbass CMB 101, a Rumble 40, and the Ampg RB 108. They were all good but I was leaning towards the Rumble or Markbass. The tone from the CMB is extremely versatile. Punchy, scooped, mid, driven, and a very crisp clean tone - I think that's what sold me. The CMB was the most expensive of the three then. So when I saw an email last week that this had gone on sale I went back to the store and bought it without hesitation. I wouldn't be unhappy with the Rumble though. If you have a store near you go try them out.

Thank you! I live in a remote area and looking for my first bass amp so have been relying on YouTube. Included effects on katana sure sounds good but tone wise, I was leaning towards the rumble. And then this popped up… so Decisions.. Decisions

I'd take the Boss out of the those three options. I have a Roland Bass Cube 30, an SWR Workingman 15, and a GK full stack with a 4x10 and a 1x15 hooked to a Markbass 800W head.

With bass, a large enclosure for the woofer is pretty important, especially if you might want to play downtuned or a 5-string. The small practice amps are a significantly different experience. I totally get having a budget or living in an apt., but if possible get a bigger mid-sized enclosure. It doesn't even take much wattage. You might find an old SWR Workingman 15 for $150 in the classifieds that blows these out of the water. Lots of Ampeg combos for not much more.

I have rumble 40. It's very basic but sounds really good.

I have the ampeg rv110, got to demo a 10" minimum, 8 isn't right. I have the boss katana 210 as well. Both have 5 string bases n them and sound great preferred over my fender 15 practice (8"). Demoed markbasses and they have a great voice, growly snd would probably oair nicely with a Warwick. Love ampeg's sound too and the katana is $3000 worth of pedals built in. Can loose between the 3
