If this were the M3, I'd consider it at this price. Upgrading from a 2020 MBA M1. I'd appreciate the upgrade chassis and RAM, but the M2 is already two generations behind.

Yeah, I'm curious if another price drop could be on the way. The Mac deals aren't supposed to start until 11/18 according to their flyer.

The Airs will probably be positioned at $1099 unless they raise it to $1199 initially which means the others have to be less. As this is the M2 model, I could see it being pushed out entirely as three chipsets becomes cluttered in a lineup.


This is still a very nice computer that should be able to do anything you'd throw at it easily outside of hardcore gaming. I could maybe see some hitting $700 as stock is wiped out, but I don't think you'll see 16gb models go much less soon.

The price will probably remain the same until they change the design and that's not rumored to happen until M5 anyway.

Glad to see 16GB prices dropping, they're great machines even 2 gens behind, just don't forget if you're transferring large files often this does have the gimped SSD so it will be slower. But in reality not that many people will give a toss.
