If this were the M3, I'd consider it at this price. Upgrading from a 2020 MBA M1. I'd appreciate the upgrade chassis and RAM, but the M2 is already two generations behind.

Received Best Buy order two days ago and just did online chat with them. They were able to process the adjustment/refund pretty quickly.

Yep that's my thinking as well. It will be my first Macbook and I'd like to keep it for around 3 years. Ideally I'd like a killer deal on a Macbook Pro M3 or M4 with 16/512, the remainder of Nov/Dec will be interesting.
