Friends don't let friends buy Blink cameras.
It's a good price for entry level security system. I won't buy any camera lower than 2k resolution. Also with Ring & Blink the cameras are pretty much useless without subscription. I personally prefer cameras with built-in local storage.
I bought a 5 pack back in 2022. Doorbell is the only thing that works and shows ok images. The cameras are pretty bad (low res and struggles with lagging and the video constantly stops and asks if i want to continue to view) The sync module can be painfully clunky to setup. I would not recommend the camera system.

I only see 3 outdoor cameras. The details on costco.com says 4 cameras but i think that's including the indoor camera. Still a great deal

You can add your own storage with the sync module on Blink

I have the older Blink XT cams. If you want something that sorta kinda works mostly, it's ok, but I don't recommend them compared to better options for about same price. Low light quality is garbage. However if you use lithium batteries they do run for months. Again, is a mediocre experience worth a cheap price?

Because for a little bit more, you can get excellent Eufy 2C Pro 2k cameras with basestation that blow it out of the water. Low light quality is top notch but beyond that it also has auto-spotlight. The app has this feature that shows a thumbnail of any faces it detects in videos, which seems gimmicky but turns out to be genius. Instead of scrolling through random vids looking for people doing crime, you basically can quickly preview any vids with suss ass people in them. 3 thumbnails all with ski masks? Yeah. Also no monthly fee since recordings go to basestation. If that's no go for you, pay subscription for cloud storage.
$149 for 2 pack + basestation.

Thanks for the info. It would've been a great deal if the cameras were 2k

Blink cameras are low quality, low cost systems but they aren't bad for what they are. Mine are turned off most of the time, I arm the system and turn on motion detection if I'm going to be away for a few days. Also handy if you're inside your house and want to see a live view of one of your outside cameras.
The 2 double AA batteries in my outside cameras are over 2 years old and still working fine.
If you want a system that records everything around the clock you'll probably need wired outside cameras instead of battery ones. This will involve a lot more cost for the cameras themselves and running power supply/ data cables to them.
Blink is just a low cost, basic camera system that is easy to set up and doesn't have the high quality pictures of other systems.
If what you need is a heavy duty state of the art system look elsewhere, it's going to cost you quite a bit more.
Different folks have different needs, Blink will work fine for some folks.

Only reason I still use them is because I'm grandfathered in to the free service

I bought the bundle with t a doorbell and 4 outdoor cameras a couple months ago, and have kind of mixed feelings so far. Setup was easy, video quality is good in my opinion, and the doorbell in particular notifies me promptly when it detects activity. However, the Sync module has gone offline inexplicably and required a reboot 3-4 times already, and the doorbell crashed today for the first time. I don't know how this compares to other brands (aside from the absolutely awful cheapie Aiwit cameras I had), and I'm pleased overall, but I was hoping not to have to reboot anything this frequently.

I bought this and cannot get the pan tilt base to work. When adding the associated mini camera to the account it doesn't add the pan tilt base and ability to control/pan. Tried everything online to troubleshoot with no luck. Will be calling into blink support but guessing I'll need a replacement and I hope they don't ask me to send the whole bundle back. Rest of the system works great as does my older xt2 system I use to monitor my cabin remotely. Perfect, no, but worth it at this price point in my opinion.
