Trash. Dp1.2
On these specs why does this make it trash? What benefits would newer standards give to this specific monitor?

Wife didn't want a 3rd TV in the living room so she was squinting at her laptop during our family game sessions. Didn't seem fair that my son and I game on a 75" and 55" so I mounted one of these widescreens in a storage trunk, put wheels on it, and a gaming pc inside. The whole thing hides. This Viewsonic has been AWESOME and zero complaints.

Yes, she loves it. The ViewFinity also frequently presents better color and sharpness than our 75" lg, and 55" Sony which are both non-Oled but have 120hz, hdr10, vrr, etc.
I think it also gives her a leg up in some games because she literally sees more than we do in widescreen mode.
100hz with Vrr and Hdr10 requires a DP connection but no biggie. I would definitely recommend this monitor at this price. At full price there are other competitors.

If you don't have oled you are missing out, once you go oled there's no going back.

Yes, I'm sure. I just couldn't justify the cost of OLED since they basically cost as much as the gaming computer + soundbars + non-oled televisions combined. I wanted the permanent LAN party so my son could learn computing but not hide in a room, alone, on a headset.

I've got 3 full on game systems to maintain now but when we upgrade the top tier machine, we all get upgrades passed down, so it's working out. This trickle down is also part of the reason I like this ViewFinity. It doesn't require the full oomph of a 4k at 120hz+ and still looks awesome with the bottom end of our hardware set.
It is GNAR for sure but it's also a social family time with lots of in person antics. It's pretty cool when the family gets their victory royals as a team. Ha!

I'm looking for a monitor to do work from home work. Excel and Word plus watch YouTube and Google various. Will a VA panel cut it?
