Makes me wonder, though -- the market is in a weird spot right now between ridding itself of inventory OR waiting until tariffs are active and knowing this could be worth more (aka "inventory profits ")

If we're 100% sure tariffs are coming, the market should already be pricing it in. I don't see that in consumer goods or in the stock market yet. I think most people believe it won't happen. The big boss just has to figure out the message first -- you campaign as tough on China, but once your advisors explain how you're about to destroy the middle class, I think some backpedaling will happen.

Just ordered one. My last scooter was hover-1 blackhawk. I rode that to work every workday for 3 years. It just died 2 weeks ago. Hope that this one can perform at least as good. Finders crossed

I bought this scooter new at best buy on sale for about $700 a few years ago. I returned it because I needed to travel on busy 25mph roads and felt safer with a faster scooter.

But other than that, smoking deal. Ninebot is like the apple of scooters. Very high quality. As far as speed, rideability, and portability, it doesn't get much better than this.

Let us know which you like riding better Big Grin

I am not a fan of the KQI 100p twist throttle and awkward display placement on the right. It is underpower and less range compared to the G30LP. The KQI 100p has tube tire instead of tubeless tire. The good part of NIU is it's standard two of warranty, suspension, and modern feature (i.e. zero start, charging limit, theft protection). At the same time it's very difficult to get parts for NIU in general vs G30LP. Lastly, NIU build quality is worse.

Also that NIU stem angle is just too much Mad
Thank you for the detailed reply. While I have you, what about the KQI 2pro vs the G30LP?

The KQI 2pro has been high on my list and it's on sale for 379.

That's some over optimistic hopes. Stock market does not predict. In fact it might crash in a few days, nobody knows.

Might wanna consider buying the one from Costco then. You can return within 4 years if there's any issues. I've seen one in the warehouse for around 250 to 300

I'll wait for the Phantom scooters go on sale again at Costco for $300. Easy repairs and better return policy I'm sure, just not sure what that return policy is for scooters. Hopefully not the 90 days policy.
My friend owns the Phantom "GoGo" A8 from Costco that went on sale for $299. It's a dangerous and terribly engineer scooter. Not sure about easy repair when there is no parts available. If you consider a return a repair then of course Costco is great at that.

To be more specific, a lightweight rider should be ok but heavy rider is where this Phantom "GoGo" A8 keeps going. Look at the front and rear wheel photo of the scooter. See the front wheel lacking any source of braking. Both the e and disc brake are in the rear. Please ask any one/engineer/mechanic why 1 wheel braking on a scooter is a smart design choice and come back and educate us all Smilie

Lol I also own the A8 from Costco and if your only concern is the brake, then it's a simple brake disc and caliper that can be found on Amazon for a few bucks.

As for weight, obviously if you're on the heavy side, you'll need at least a 1,000 watt motor, two 500w would by ideal

I also own the Kaabo wolf, and it's a lot more powerful. Was waiting on another scooter for a kid, not for a 200lbs adult

The economics are tied to the politics. Endless years of most favored nation trade status has given them a lot of leverage against competing countries that could do business for less. So it's not just USA vs China. It's way more nuanced.

If I had to gamble, it's going to end up being an agreement to save face on both sides. China gets to act like they had the upper hand and "won" while America gets to act like China just wouldn't play ball, and we negotiated to save our country by nixing tariffs..."at least for now"

There's a degree of gaslighting to it, but it will work.

I got in on the f35 deal and I liked it so much I bought a g30 from target for 600; now I'm kicking myself because I could of had this thing for far less. I don't feel like the hassle of returning the g30 from target.

Are you talking about the target toys coupon applying on escooters . I tried on escooter but was unable to apply that else would have got one of the g30 myself. How are these refurbs from walmart . I'm debating to get one to try out .

I used the toy coupon shortly after it was posted. Maybe they caught on and disabled it for segway products. I guess I did get a good deal then.

Can you limit the max speed at full throttle on these easily?
