Bottom of the barrel qled stay away. Dim and only 60hz. Not good even for the price. I would purchase as guest room TV or something for $300 at most for the 55", maybe $500-$600 for the 75".
These are all trash tier TV's and have no business whatsoever being priced where they are. There is literally no argument for buying one of these over say, the 75" TCL for $378, which is also a low end TV, but it's literally less than half the price. The 55" QM7 is also available for $500 right now, and it absolutely takes a shit on these things.
I would pick these over the other TVs because of the OS. Other brands which were recommended in the same price point, will slow down as their age. Where Samsung's usually don't.

TCL and the other cheap CCP off brands are priced low for a reason. Often overclocked panels to compensate and the OS is trash. There's a reason they (made in china TVs) don't last nearly as long. In the lower price range 60Hz segment, the Samsung Q60D is really decent actually and like what the other fellow said, Samsung's don't slow down with their age. Same with LG, both very solid and at the top of the TV game.

The "smart" TV features on any TV are irrelevant, and the Q60D is an absolute trash tier TV. You use your streaming device of preference on any TV; if the built in OS happens to not be garbage, that's just a nice bonus.
Believing that this shitty TV is better than something like the QM7 is nothing more than brand loyalty. TCL makes very good TV's, and the QM7 is in a completely different class. If you're talking about the $378 75" 4 series, that's obviously a low end TV, but if you're buying a low end TV, you may as well spend less than $400, as opposed to $900. I genuinely feel bad for anyone silly enough to do that. But by all means, overpay for a trash TV if it makes you feel better to see "Samsung" written on the side.

Ugj I'm kicking myself for not pulling the trigger on a 100' Hisense w/144hz rate on Walmart app that was last one available early Thursday morning for 750$ - I over thought it & 30+ mins later it was gone - looking for a 75' w/ 120hz rate for alot less than 1000$- anyone know if I'll have a chance to find that in next month ? I'm currently watching a 42' 4 year old hinsense so even a "bottom barrel " TV will look great , if I can't find my "ideal tv" i might grab a low end 75' for 400-500$ & slap a 5 year ext warr on it - does anyone know the 75' tv thats best combo of price & quality ( 60hz is fine if the price/quality ratio is best available )

The 75" QM7 is showing $1000 at Best buy right now. You can probably wait for a bigger deal/sale, and I've definitely seen better value sales in the last few months on TV's generally, but if you want one immediately it's there.
Not an expert on tv but whenever I compare Samsung with other brands Samsung colors and display is better, recently compared their low end 50 inch model on Costco both Samsung hisense and Samsung picture quality was better...

These deals from Korea don't last long either. I jumped on this same deal in 2022 Samsung Q60A from Walmart. Lasted two years
Sadly I learned hardware that you are wrong. LG and Samsung are good for their higher priced sets. No Edge Lit bs.
hence why I'm here following tv threads
.
my advice if you do this deal, get warranty
I wouldn't touch this tv though and I've always been a Samsung fan boy
can corroborate opinion of retromangia post above mine

I have this tv. Don't waste your money. If you install this tv in a brighter room, it will be a nightmare to watch dark scenes. Looking for another tv this black Friday.

The Hisense U7 or TCL QM7 are waaaaaay better for basically the same price points as this.

Wondering the same as well.
Price seems high for the specs.
