BF deals going to beat this by a decent amount? This seems fairly typical.
Maybe, maybe not. Nvidia has already discontinued production of the 4090 chips and will add to that as the 5000 series gets closer.
If you have a MicroCenter near you they have a dual fan for the same price. Consider that their other 3 fans go up to $549 - $569. It's a game of chicken so I guess it depends on how badly you need a card right now.

Don't need one that badly...
Was hoping for a card like this to approach $450 for Black Friday / Cyber Monday...

I think I saw a 4070S on sale for like $485 or so yesterday... $500 is the price the regular 4070 should have launched at. Not really that great a deal.
Just came to say that I have a pny 4080 and it has been terrific. Heat, performance, etc.. very good. Some people think only Asus and MSI are quality but pny is very good in my book and has been for decades. Their stuff has always been well made but they skimp on the stuff I don't want anyway (like addressable LEDs)

That outer shroud (w/ the fans) looks sort of thin and could potentially be flimsy, and hopefully it's made out of aluminum instead of some hard plastic. Also, there's currently a RX 6800 on sale for $350 which is a few percentage points behind the 4070 in performance.
