Bought these (new) for $179 last month. The seal and noise cancelling on them are the best yet! They beat my Pixel Buds 2, Bose QC35 and even my Sony XM5 (what!?)

This past weekend I drove 6 hours on a family trip and they blocked out my wife's music on car speakers, cocomelon on a tablet, a nintendo switch and all other road noise entirely. It was unreal. Even the Sony XM5 would let in at least some noise, but I listened to my audio book and music in total silence with these earbuds.

What a relief because I find over-ear headphones uncomfortable, hot and annoying for car, bed and prolonged use.

Downsides: Touch controls super sensitive, buds are very slippery on the shiny parts, case is cheap feeling, Bose Device app feels 10 years behind Sony, Multi point switching is not as good as Sony or Google, connection drops for no reason more often than others

Apparently I'm in the minority. I don't like the fit of these and the seal isn't good. I get better NC from the original Bose QC earbuds due to the better fit with the fin. With these QC ultras I've tried everything to get a better fit - the large eartips, the official sizing kit, and aftermarket kits. The only tolerable fit was a silicone cover that went around the body of the earbud for a more non-slip texture, similar to the sport version that Jabra used to make.
The only reason that I was looking to upgrade is because the battery life on the original QCs was becoming unusably short.
I also had the same connectivity issues with the Ultras that most people complain about. I'm not sure if there's any other high quality earbuds with the fin style that are worth trying.

This is an Expired thread, but was wondering what those who ordered these thought of them. I ordered a pair, myself, and love them. They have by far the best ANC I've ever experienced. Somebody mentioned the case and they way you get them out to be overly difficult and weird... and I concur, it takes some getting used to, but even then, I have to wonder who thought this case design was a great idea (and for what reason). I don't own the Sony XM5's, but after reading all of the negative comments about Secondipity refurbs and how one earbud would go out in less than a year and other complain about residual earwax and other evidence of being used buds... I have to say that I'd take these Bose QC Ultra Refurbs (direct from Bose - and appear to be brand new) vs the Secondipity XM5 refurbs any day of the week.

You can get these on ebay for $166.60 with coupon LASTMINUTEGIFTS. Clearly not as good as the original deal but not too bad.

These are way better than the new Samsung earbud pros.

I did see that as well (other day). Also, I love these earbuds - the noise cancellation is just next level.
