So lets say you walked into the bose store because you needed to buy a pair of headphones and you pass by a pair thats in the box and labeled refurbished on sale for $39 and you say hell with it, I will take a chance and buy these because it seemed like a reasonable deal to you considering a brand new pair was $200. You go to the cash register and you pay for them you get in your car go home and you start using them for a couple days. Then three days later someone at the store realizes the wrong price was on them. Do you think they will come to your house and ask for them back and tell you that they made a mistake? This is what's happening right now. And they need to own up to it. Price mistakes happen in stores all the time and people buy stuff at a drastically discounted rate. No one goes knocking door-to-door asking for the product back. Online retailers should be held accountable. The mistake equals their problem. It shouldn't be the consumers problem. If you as an individual listed something for sale on eBay and you made a mistake on the listing price and sold that item too cheap the buyer would chastise you and eBay would probably kick you off the platform for not shipping out the item or honoring the sales price.
The fact that Bose did not address the issue and offer some sort of compensation to its customers says a lot about the company. This might've been a marketing gimmick right before the holidays. I personally always fight for the little guy. I don't feel bad for the big companies.
Nah I despise the "flippers" who are always ready to leech on this site. This one will probably get called back since it's almost certainly a price mistake (Probably meant $139 and $169). But they've ruined many great legit deals in the past when someone orders 5-10 of an item and quickly depletes the stock.
Getting 2-3 of these to give as gifts is cool. Buying 5 to try to flip is the very definition of rent-seeking. They contribute nothing to society.
On the positive side, the refurb QC Ultra deal ($210) is still very good for what is likely a "legit" price. IMO it's my favorite ANC headphone set currently
oh my gosh, my order was changed as return to sender at this morning I was so much desperated because it was in out for delivery status.
but.. my friend UPS deliver finally knocked door and gave it to me just now!! it feels like a special gift I got.
I'll never buy a bose full priced, bought the qc buds for around 100 a year or two ago and loved it.
sad part is they could of easily taken the breakeven or minor loss to attract future customers that never had a bose but they decided to do RTS instead which will cost them extra since they pay shipping both ways.
i did get a cancel on one of my orders(other stuck on paid), which they shipped out even though order was refunded, no rts yet and eta arrival is this friday. i know the driver and few of the loaders, so if its on the truck, it's getting delivered.
Lol, also got the warranty email this morning and then a cancellation email for my headphones just now.
Oh well, this is part of the fun of slick deals. For those that were here a decade ago, and even before that, these types of price mistakes were quite common (and cancellations too). I see a lot of the newer members complaining, but this is all part of the game.
Cancelled here as well. Booo Bose... I will hold on to my new ones that I was going to return if the refurbs were cancelled (and as expected they were)

TBH, if Bose just fessed up that it was a Pricing Error, and they cannot uphold that price, it would be fine - that happens!
Still, send a discount code for those receiving cancellations - something for the inconvenience!
Going to file a BBB complaint right now, everyone who got their order cancelled should do this maybe something will come out of it
EDIT - I also filed a complaint with the ftc for deceptive business practices. These will definitely have more of an impact than an eBay review if anyone wants to take action
Somehow I can accept the cancellation of $39 orders. But $69 is a reasonable price for the refurbished item where we can get the brand new around $199.
Not sure why bose cancelled $69 items.

Interesting. I was surprised I didn't see a flood of negative reviews on their page. I guess that is why.
