The way I look at TCL and Hisense is you get similar picture quality for 1/2 as much. That allows one to upgrade sooner. Assuming a 60/month TV budget one can replace this TV in 2 years and 4 months, which is just passed the warranty it comes with. Given the advancements that TVs will have over the next 2-4 years I'd rather pay less now for similar picture quality and upgrade sooner than spend a lot more for a TV which will be significantly outdated in a few years.
