I own both QC45 and the Ultra. And for travel, I vastly prefer the QC45s. The touch sensitive buttons on the Ultra's aren't intuitive at all. And quite frankly are a bit of a pain to interact with.

The QC45s are nice because there's a dedicated button for each interaction.

Anyways, my 2 cents.

I have new ones via amazon last week and really like them. Currently traveling internationally and was comfy wearing them for a 13+ hour flight to Manila

Just bought regular QC on the Costco deal ($200). Worth switching to these Ultras? Is one more comfortable than the other for a long plane ride?

These are actually better than normal QC models. Worth the upgrade. Paid $250 + tax as well

This one supports spatial audio and more codec. The built-in quality is a bit better, too. The standard QC headphone is still usable when the battery is out by using the wire connection. The ultra version doesn't.

I got my order in. I came SOOOOOOO close to ordering the lesser model last night for only $10 less. Sold by Bose and in pristine condition.

If you're on the fence, this is a great way to get into a set on the cheap. Comes from Bose and can return within 30 days. Don't like them? Send them back. Love them? Keep them and you got them for $209!

Refurb set on Bose direct is $279 and has 10% off refurbished items using code SAVE10 making it $251. This deal beats that by $42.

Replacing my QC45 with the ULTRA. Fingers crossed the reviews are accurate.

This is a deal? because last night they had the the none ultra version for $39 green/blue and $69 black refurb. was able to grab 2 pairs in different colors
