My Best Buy tried to price match Brandsmart recently (when it was $1100), and they could do it in store regardless of membership, but their system can't sell these for less than $1300.

Idk how reliable brandsmart. I would rather pay the extra $300 at best buy. $1300 is still a good deal.

Funny thing is that, if you don't log in, shipping is free; but if I create a member account and log in, the price goes down to $997.99 BUT the shipping goes up from $0 to $300 - someone else mentioned this already, referencing shipping prices.

Unsuccessful at samsung. Tried it multiple times and didn't work. They told me they would price match and reimburse the rest of the money but it didn't work.

Apparently Sammy is selling both qd-oled and woled models as S90D. Uncertain which panel type this lot is from, but I'd suspect it's WOLED.

QD-OLED is their quantum dot tech that has more vibrant colors, WOLED has a white pixel element that allows the panel to get brighter at the expense of color. Both will still look fantastic, but the QD-OLED will have extra oomph. WOLED would be preferable in brighter environments.

Samsung wants to promote HDR10+ instead of paying for a Dolby Vision license. I don't think they'll ever support Dolby Vision. The only OLED that I know of that supports HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision is the Panasonic Z95A. The two main downsides of the Z95A is the price and size. It's limited to 65".

If you bought this at the $1100 deal earlier, Brandsmart tells me over the phone that they do price protection for a month. I believe you have to go in person.
