was thinking of getting this plus a backup sump pump (that i will turn on remotely with this kasa, one that is rigged to always run if given power, not triggered by water level). would a 1/3 hp pump use 15 amps or less?

If you already have devices in the kasa ecosystem, and many don't integrate with Google home.

You don't need a hub for there devices. I use the Google ecosystem and there kasa app and they work great. I have indoor and outdoor outlets and several different outdoor cameras and video doorbell. Even the color changing lights don't need a hub. I even have my harmony remote setup to control the lights. Hit watch TV and the lights dim and change to a color I picked and when I hit watch movie the lights dim slowly to off automatically.

Sorry, I worded that wrong. I don't have any issues with my kasa devices. I was stating some off the off brands may not be easily integrated within Google home.

I do have my kasa account linked to my Google. Some day I'll get home assistant set back up to get it all local.

Quick google search says 3-4 amp and around 800 watts on average without knowing what kind of pump.

I've tried one of these on a kitchen microwave and it will shut itself off so the limit is real. I'd look up the max amperage before buying. My microwave is on a 15 amp circuit so I thought it could be ok
