Correct. I bought a brand new one and ended up sending it back three times for repairs. The fourth time it broke, Microsoft said it was out of warranty and I was SOL. I'll never buy another Microsoft controller. I bought an 8BitDo Ultimate Wired Controller for Xbox and it has been rock solid and cost less than the MS controllers that won't last 6 months.
