Got one last time at the same price for my middle school child wearing braces to try out. Traditional flossing is a hassle with braces and the child gets lazy often just skips flossing which is not good. The child has been using this water floss daily, tells me it gets the job done and no complaints. I'd say it's worth $10 for this purpose.

I assume recharging after every use might degrade battery faster. So, I would use such model several times before recharging fully. Several times, it was depleted while flossing. So, wondering if USB-C models would charge faster, enough for me to finish the flossing. Also, i have plenty of usb-c cables vs usb-barrel cable. Yes, there are models with usb-c
Sounds like you keep buying truly crappy stuff

I've owned a couple of these cheap flossers and never needed to charge more than a couple times in a month, and that's mostly to keep the voltage up, not because the battery is dead

If one of these lasts you more than 18 months, you're coming out ahead

Bought it last time at $10. Mostly out of curiosity, having never used a water floss before. My wife and I tried it and mostly just got some laughs out of it. It's not as easy to use, leaves water splashes and spills, so we went back to the traditional bow shaped dental floss. Unlike electric toothbrushes, these things are not really an upgrade in life to us. Glad we didn't pay more than $10.
The problem is, perhaps, that you expect one of these to replace traditional flossing

They do not
