This year, I am going to give thanks for every manufacturer that does not place a Phillips screw where one of these is necessary to remove it. #blessed

It's funny that all the examples in the video would be better served using an extension on a normal ratchet. Or you know… a screw driver that is long enough to reach the screw.

Something like this is great for a motorcycle carburetor adjusting the air/fuel mixture screw, where you have very limited space. They make specialty screwdrivers for this but this isn't as proprietary and way more versatile. It looks like it comes with the shorty bits as well which can be just as invaluable.

Any other suggestions? I would be using it to jet carburetor on my motorcycle and scooter.

Is 90 tooth not enough for small incremental changes?

I picked up a Sunex mini socket and driver set and it's easily one of the best tool purchases I've ever made. Crazy useful for auto work or pretty much anything I've thrown at it. It was on sale for $30. I thing it would be far better than the OP for usability

I don't think anyone has ever needed one of these to work inside of an engine. You would use just some kind of extender.

My go-to mini ratchet is the Harbor Freight Icon mini set, has a bunch of bits, extension and bit could also be inserted into bottom of handle. Very convenient for low torque work. Its $40 but when coupons come around affordable.

If I may assume, WoofWoofWaffles is mainly pointing out the (bad) rotational resistance while it's "clicking", which would require another hand getting in there to hold the socket, in order to fully loosen the very-free nut/bolt. This negative quality can't be on a tight-space tool (and expect to finish the job 95% without another tool).

edit: oops, to answer your question, it's totally dependent on the arc-swing clearance you have. If tuning carbs by ear, or by precise "o'clock"ing, this tool won't have enough practical rotation. Look for "carb/pilot screw tool angled head" (with clocking gradations).

I scored the 3-wrench XL set at Lowes (inventory miscount in my favor, hooray!) - I just ran downstairs and tested, and you're right, back-drag on that 1/4" is awful - good to know! Still a great deal on the XL set for $69, and I needed a shorter/better 1/4" anyways, so perhaps an Icon is on my Christmas "me" list. I've been a good boy this year, Santa knows!

Nice! The 1/2 and 3/8 V series break in [youtube.com] really well! That's basically what i did, in the linked vid. The 1/4 is beyond break in, unfortunately. The 3/8 and 1/2 ICON are pretty decent, although they have lame shims, but the 1/4 is lackluster (the Quinn is much better). Wait a year on Icon (search SEMA '24 Harbor Freight for the G2 icon ratchets introduction). I have so many ratchets. The Diehard [advanceautoparts.com] 1/4 flex is a sleeper! Outstanding ratchet for cheap. Also, tough to beat the new Gearwrench 120XP flex!
