Assuming this is an authorized dealer and comes with a factory warranty ...this should be front page for sure

Nothing anywhere near this price is going to be this units sonic equal, in my opinion

Wow the deal is back and better than before. I recall there were some people who were hesitant to jump on the RZ50 deals.

This is not a good price. I would wait a few weeks. It will be $550 or less.

Yeah tempted to hold out for that in a couple of weeks.

Note that the 7100 didn't get the DLBM/DLBC upgrade through firmware that the RZ50 got. If Dirac is important to you, get something else. Otherwise, a decent price for an AVR w/o a full set of pre-outs.

Edit: I don't think Firemall LLC is an authorized Onkyo retailer.

What does that update do?

DLBM/DLBC allows you to perform bass management within Dirac itself instead of in the Onkyo (currently there is a SW bug that requires workarounds that other products don't require). Although the base Dirac Live Full Bandwidth comes w/the 7100, you do need to pay additional for the DLBC license.

FWIW, the firmware that upgraded the RZ50 and Integra DRX5.4 is not working properly. If you want the fewest amount of headaches and the most options, go with a Denon 3800 or better. You do pay extra for any Dirac license but you won't be like all the folks who waited nearly 4 years for an update that is still not fully cooked! Who knows? You may like Audyssey room correction (that's better than the AccuEQ in Onkyo) and opt not to go for Dirac!

A few weeks ago bought "refurb" from ebay for $510. It was brand new and came w/ factory warranty and 2 year allstate from an authorized reseller (buydig) so if you are keen you can save a few bucks.

I suppose you can watch: https://www.ebay.com/itm/326290981559

ebay gave me a 20% 0r 30% coupon to get to that price.
