Models with N305, N200, N100 processors
One SODIMM slot, single channel
Models with 13xxP and 13xxU processors
Two SODIMM slots, dual channel support
So for this N305 model, the RAM is removable and upgradable (by replacement only)
1. Price in the store still shows $320 ish and wouldn't honor BF price of $230 in the store. You have to buy this online for delivery or pick up in the store later.
2. As folks have noted, IPS screen was noticeably better than the Staples TN panel.
3. Keyboard also felt better than Staples
4. Can't comment on performance but decided to get both Walmart and Staples laptop to try it out.

Looks like I3 1215U on Staples (older but slightly faster) vs. N305. I don't think Staples has IPS screen?

IF, the ram isn't soldered, then yes, you'll need to replace it with a higher amount single stick.
PS: 1215u laptops are cheaper and perform better with dual channel ram.
