Ordered one, as I'd prefer to get one in January anyway.

I had a couple chances to buy at Newegg last week on launch day, in stock and all when my scraping program showed stock, but I held off as I don't plan on a building so soon, and hope for some better motherboard pricing before end of year. The issue is only a couple motherboards will work for my build; graphics card, 40GbE networking, and SAS cards really cut out most options, especially when looking at other features such as ECC memory support or USB port speeds.
You are buying the wrong cpu....wait for the 9950x3d my man.

This thing is good for one work load only...single threaded gaming. Wait for the top end 9950x3d instead for the best at all Smilie

No need to panic. Retailers are panic-buying from AMD due to fears over the new president's tariffs.
I'm patiently waiting for 9950x3d, double the core at 50% more $.

Can confirm, the Bay Area computer store here are about to hit everyone with a price hike 15-20% on their products.

Scalpers ON this one... in and out of stock, and THEN you see the scalper's price markup...

I'm pretty sure this chip can do other things. I could be wrong though...

All this hype for a CPU, when the vast, vast majority of high-end, graphically intensive games are GPU-bound, not CPU-bound, especially if you're running at higher resolutions.

mine says Jan 25-27. But like the poster above stated, be on the lookout for it everyday starting today. Had 1 delivery driver drop off a GPU that wasn't suppose to arrive for a month 5 days from ordering at 5:30 in the morning. Luckily, my RING woke me up to grab it. Not sure about other CCs, but with the Amazon card, once you notice the money's been taken out, it's on its way.
Yep one time I received one before I ordered it!
