I have 3 of these units and the ICUE software is absolute crap!

Constantly crashes.
Constantly freezes up.
Constantly will alter the lighting/fan/pump configuration without my permission.
Constantly turns off lights or changes colors all on its own.

After fighting the software for months, I have removed the software from the computer.

The hardware [the pump, radiator, and the fans] are awesome, but the software is a non-stop reoccurring nightmare.

Thumbs down, down, down.

Seems really stupid to make such an awesome cooler and yet totally fail on the software.

Corsair is obviously tone deaf because large numbers of people have complained and yet they do absolutely nothing to fix or remedy the software problem.

iCue has always been garbage. Is it possible to uninstall it once everything is up and running or will the pump not function (well) without it?

Personally I'd rather have the linking fans on this version, less cable clutter.

Can you explain the difference? I bought the elite with LCD version with not much knowledge about the product.

The one you bought has an lcd screen on the pump but has normal fans, the LINK product listed here has linking fans.

This vid explains it well:

The 420mm is even cheaper than the 360mm if you can fit it in your case.

Yeah I saw that one. I dont have a case yet (still shopping for one). I'm just worried getting a 420mm will severely limit my choice of case. I dont want a huge XL sized case. Do you have any suggestions on what would be the best "compact" case that would fit a 420mm radiator? I was originally looking at the corsair 3500x, but that one only supports up to 360mm. Any suggestions?

Sorry I don't lol. I have like 5 cases in the closet, each new one is smaller than previous. This 360mm Corsair is going into the Asus AP201 case from last week's deal, I'm slowly trying to downsize to a mini-itx case at some point, when Ryzen APUs get as powerful as a 4070 (Strix Halo).

How reliable is the LCD? It seems like there are 35%(!) 1 star review on newegg and most of them mentioning the LCD screen suffers from "triangle of death"

Bought the 360 version with the screen and intended to just put a gif on it and then never touch the software again. Software was fine and after setup have not had to open it again. Working great and keeps the CPU temps solid on a 5950x. No one needs this but it's a fun upgrade if you want to do something different than a NH-D15
