The ascent is nice coz it has smaller containers, right down to 8oz. But $300 for a refurb and lack of any containers, which will probably cost as much, makes me sit on the fence.

I snagged an Explorian. Looks like a good price to me and I need both the capacity and power versus my 900 watt Nutribullet. I'll remember the little guy well, but it's time for retirement.

I have gone thru 3 bullet blenders, I am seriously tempted but even $200 is a lot for a blender in my eyes. I think this is the lowest Vitamix gets though so I might just do it
There is actually another deal of this one, selling directly from Vitamix on Amazon with 3 year warranty. The one from Amazon Renew is with 1 year warranty & same price. Tell me any reasons that I should not purchase this one? Is it reliable? How long does this blended usually stay & work well? Thanks.

Vitamix website has the same price but 3 yr warranty. Btw refurbished usually has 3-5 year warranty depending on the model. It's a downgrade from new blenders that have 5-10yrs

I'm only speaking to the NutriBullet to VitaMix transition. I had a nurtibilullet that lasted a little past half a year. There's was no way I was going to buy another since it was such poor longevity so I bought a refurb Vitamix from the manufacturer (this ways several years ago) and never looked back. I bought a refurb VMix on their site for $250 and it's been going strong every morning for smoothies since then.
Any experience with the longevity of the blender bottles? I'm coming from blendtec where the two bottles both are having bearing problems after about 5 years of moderate use. Not sure it's worth replacing the bottles as they are as expensive as a new set including motor. So thinking of jumping ship if the Vitamix bottles last longer.
