It's available currently too!
How do I get that?

How fast is it to, say, cut off my dad's full price Xfinity service and restore service on my mom's name as a new customer? Same physical address, same physical cable, modem etc.
Well there are other options. What I've done for the last decade is call into the retention department. Once you're there, you let them know that you found a better offer. Doesn't matter if you have or haven't found one in your area, just quote something from another company. Next you let them know about this promo and if they're willing to start you on this, you would stay a customer. Retention department is the ONLY department that can sign you up this way and keep your current account. Also make sure your retention department agent is located in the USA!! very important!

I literally ask when they pick up. Where are you located after they say their name some hesitant to answer, but I demand to know are you in the US or overseas? When they say India, Philippines, Manila, etc. I say thank you and hang up, I call back until I get an agent in the USA. . I found that They're the ONLY ones who can access your account properly and pull this off. Good luck!

In the past as simple as a phone call currently I've heard they won't off the deal under your circumstances

Bummer,

So here are few findings. 1.your current service need to be completely off to get this promo under someone's name. I called today and wasted good amount of time. So if your representative said they can't offer your this is because their is already service active on your address doesn't matter if it's on someone's name.

2. If you have existing XM line you want to use for this new service, you will be treated as existing customer.

Too much of the game to play. It is painful to deal with Xfinity. Why can't they keep it simple. Same set of people returning and retaining service but doing it every year is painful specially if you have XM as well.

Now can someone please tell me cheapest way to port out my XM and then port back in XM? TIA

Anyone know what happens if after signing up for autopay from bank account and then then prepay $33 with a credit card just before your bill due date? Does the autopay discount remain or gets taken off ?
I know that with FIOS, I can do this with a new debit (Staples purchased no-fee MCGC/VGC nettning 5% through Ink) card and the discount still stays (needs at least $1 to go to stored autopay debit card).
In my experience, a single payment by credit card doesn't cause a problem.

Netgear CM1100 and CM1200 are both good modems. Look for docsis 3.1 modems, as they support gigabit speeds.
Thanks.

Call 1-800 Comcast go through all the prompts and keep asking for retention department. Normally to get a US agent they're only available Monday through Friday, usually from 7:00 a.m. to about 6 or 7 pm EST. It's a roll of the dice. If all their USA agents are all busy, Comcast call system will automatically route you to one of their overseas retention departments. That's why you have to do the ask who they are, and If not in the US, hang up and call back.

This is 24 month contract. Early termination fee is $ 230. So free 12 months they will increase the prise and collect all the amount Smilie
When I used to be stuck with Xfinity I just signed up for new plans before the end of the promo. It doesn't count as a cancellation.
