You don't have to switch names anymore.
1. Sign out of Xfinity account before searching.
2. When you enter the address, select you are moving here as a new customer.
3. Once you select the plan, it will give an option to create a new account or login. Login with your existing id.
4. It will create a new account and close the old account on your existing login.
5. You will be charged prorated amount on old account and new account starts right away.
6. Your internet will be on for a while but one day it will stop working.
7. If you owned the modem then you can restart the modem and go through activation process on new login and move old modem over. Else use new rental modem for activation.
8. If you have you mobile lines then you can call them to move the lines to new account.

My wife and I have switched accounts for many years every time a deal expires. I started going in store because you get the equipment right away. You will have to constantly replace modems every time you switch but it saves hundreds.

why dont use your own modem? i always call when changing accounts and they are able to switch the modem to new account easily.

Thanks for this. I'll try it out in 23 months from now
I got some unexpected error after checking out and submitting. A new xfinity account was linked to my original (new Xfinity Mobile?), but I don't see any evidence beyond that, that the deal worked. No emails, no changes to my existing service/upcoming charges.

Be aware that your first month of mobile service will NOT be free, as you have to pay a $25 activation fee plus taxes.

I ported 3 xfinity mobile numbers out to red pocket
setup new xfinity account
I was able to port back two numbers, the 3rd one has been stuck for almost 10 days now. Xfinity still needs another 7 days to resolve the issue

sounds like RedPocket took over two days to respond back to xfinitys port out request.

I'm hopeful I won't have to repeat this in 23 months

I did see that confirmed as far as the Xfinity Mobile part of the deal, but no email after submission, just that error and the email noting that a new xfinity account had being linked to my existing login. When accessing Xfinity Mobile directly, it says I don't have an account. I never got anything concerning the Xfinity Internet part of the deal, other than what was shown in the cart that looked correct ($35+tax) before checking out. I guess I'll give it a day and see what happens before calling in. I played around with trying to stack the BOGO line which didn't work, and upgrading to unlimited plus to trade in seems to break the deal, so I ended checking out with an Unlimited BYOD line.

Has anyone combined this promotion with the "iPhone On Us" promotion and Unlimited Plus line?

many thanks for this. But, how do you get a new mobile line added, when the promo is for internet + mobile lines? Since the devices are currently on xfinity, it does not let you add them as the devices for byod, so can't complete the purchase of the promo without a device.

Follow these instructions and it works like a charm. Return your old modem to the store and pick up the new gateway modem at the same time. Very little down time. Thanks!
how to add the free mobile line?

Did your Xfinity internet account work? You had to call in or got sorted automatically. And were you able to activate Xfinity mobile service?

I got the deal and activated no problem. First bill does not show free mobile line, they're charging m 35$/month just for the phone in addition to the internet. Seems like a scam.

Same here. Does the $35 mobile charge drop at some point?

what are the taxes and fees on the mobile line? For xfinity internet it's always just whatever the advertise price is but what happens to all those mobile taxes and 911 taxes etc? Will this end up to be $40/month?

I wouldn't worry, wait til your actual account is charged. You can verify the mobile discount and what your monthly payments will be on the order confirmation at: https://customer.xfinity.com/#/se...firmations

You should see the monthly mobile discount there:
One Unlimited Line free for 12 months -$40.00 / mo

Depends where you live. I'm in the the tax loving state of CA and mobile taxes/fees add $7.xx to my bill, so I'll be paying $42.xx/month total. I was previously paying exactly $39.99 for 300mbps internet only from them so getting the same speed plus mobile for a couple bucks more is acceptable.

Does anyone know if I can port in my line (and still keep the $40 discount) after testing out the free line for sometime?
