Yes and no. I have the new Samsung AIO version of this LG. If you do smaller more frequent loads, it's neglible. If you do larger loads, yes it takes longer. For me at least, the longer times is offset by other factors:

1) I often don't get a chance to move cloths right after the cycle is done
2) If I completely forgot to move it, I had the stinky cloths issue where I had to rewash it and hope most of the smell disappears
3) I now run large load of clothes at night and wake up to fresh dry clothes

Strong word of advice check if your state currently has a rebate on these (my state is supposed to do so but hasn't yet started it) https://www.energy.gov/save/home-upgrades

Also make sure you religiously clean the various filters on this as there have been reports of All in One units having issues due to lint/etc clogging things (downside of being an early adopter, you're the beta tester of designs)

People hate on these because they're different and they're not for everyone but I've owned this LG for nearly a year.

Plan on ~monthly maintenance: clean refill soap dispensers; wipe with damp cloth or rinse lint vent, door seal, and heat pump radiator fins (carefully, I use a toothbrush); clean out the washer filter, run a tub clean cycle.

Dry garments made mostly with synthetics separate from natural fiber for more even & accurate drying. Some dampness feeling at the end of drying can be shaken off (closed air drying system).

Mostly automated washing & drying, more free space without a separate dryer, my electric bill is noticeably less, and now using the dryer doesn't involve pushing conditioned air out of the home.

Unless your space is limited, go for the traditional washer and dryer. These combo machines have longer cycles. At least you can wash another load while you are drying.

So I just got this last week. And paid about $2000. I also bought more stuff to trigger the $500 savings. What the heck do I do now I overpaid by a lot!? I'm ready to reorder before this disappears or do I contact customer service?

If you bought through Costco in-store, bring the receipt with you and go to their customer service desk to ask for a price adjustment if it's within the first 30 days. If this was bought from Costco online, you'll need to call their customer service call center and discuss it with them regarding getting a price adjusted refund. They may or many not allow the refund due to the package deal $500 savings, but if you try enough times you'll get a representative that'll allow it even if it's against their policy. Had an issue with a refund for something else at one location, so I went to a different location just across city limits a few miles away and they allowed it.

Wow I paid 1800 just earlier this year!

I'd totally buy this unit again.

The big big big big trick with this unit is to washer the lint trap. Several people were complaining about the unit not drying or endlessly stuck in a dry cycle. Turns out the moisture sensor is next to the lint trap. The screen on the lint trap is ULTRA fine, and in the manual is recommends rinsing the trap screen often, not just remove the lint that has collected.

This seemingly has solved so many people's problems. All because they buried this fact in the user manual and of course no one reads the damn thing.

and mechanical ventilation

it's way more efficient. I have the samsung and the GE its much cheaper and easier. if you just replace a washer you can also double your output. The lint is easiest to remove on the LG the samsung has the best drying and the GE is middle of them. I'd say if you suck at lint removal the LG is the best one. The best performance is the Samsung and the GE is fine all around. the samsung lint removal sucks, it does have the best amount of cycles and the best detergent dispenser and pedestal.
There are some pretty good YouTube videos to "fix" the awful lint screen on the GE. I have that model and can confirm using a high temp gasket maker around the foam side screen works very well to reduce lint on coils. There are also options to install foam insulation in spots and after-market filters being sold that removes some of the gaps. GE needs to step up and replace it as a recall IMHO.

That is actually a pretty good deal for two.
2 takes up the footprint of a traditional set. You might be on to something by getting two.
