Type of NAND. SLC, MLC, TLC, and QLC. Referring to the bits per cell. The less bits per cell the higher the TBW endurance rating, but also the more expensive. Most users won't ever reach the TBW. TLC and QLC are commonly found in consumer SSDs, while SLC and MLC is found in enterprise SSDs.
DRAM cache. This helps sustain R/W operations for large file transfers. Tom's Hardware has charts on SSD review articles showing the tapering off on SSDs without DRAM.
Only way I would pay a premium for a SSD with DRAM and better NAND is if I were using it in a NAS and transferring large files constantly. Even the boot times between the fastest and slowest NVME SSDs is within 3 seconds.
I'm going to buy this SSD for a Steam Deck.
Also, QLC as this is the "CORE" edition instead of the MP600 Mini non-"Core" which uses TLC. both are without DRAM.

Many people uses double-sided WD TLC only to find their SD overheat like crazy.

To squeeze everything into 22mmx30mm, half of the area taken by controller, there's only a spot for single NAND chip. With current technology, it's either an 1TB TLC, or 2TB QLC.
