Products with the name pyrex (all lowercase) are made by a company called World Kitchen and are made out of clear tempered high-thermal-expansion soda-lime glass, which has a lower thermal shock resistance, making them susceptible to explosions in the microwave or oven. You can identify them by the lower case logo and the bluish tint in the glass.
Products with the name PYREX (all uppercase) are made of clear, low-thermal-expansion borosilicate glass and are not susceptible to explosions in the microwave or oven. They can be identified by the logo which is in all upper case letters and the glass will be clear, not blue.
TLDR: Look at the Logo, PYREX (All uppercase) is good, pyrex (all lowercase) potentially explodes in the microwave.
Remember that "borosilicate glass" is the important part, not the Pyrex brand. Plenty of other companies make good borosilicate dishes

It Costco doesn't save you money, fine. But don't be ignorant and assert that it's the same for everybody.

It's interesting to sit by the food court and watch people's carts as they are on the way out. See what people buy. Lots of fru-fru stuff and alot of people only buy 1 or 2 things. It's almost like a trip to Costco isn't for shopping, it's just entertainment. Something for the well-to-do to do. I notice they don't have giant size food displays, only a small square footprint for items (like produce) and they are always looking pristine. I realized it's because no one is buying them. Their produce prices are absurdly high. Meat is high. The cases are always full. I wonder what they do with stuff when it expires. I never see markdowns, yet no one buys. And the chicken in the plastic bags is just gross now. They don't put them out anymore like when I joined earlier this year. Now they just sling a goopy chicken in a melting plastic bag towards you when you stop to get one. No thanks.
And worse yet, they became nazi's when you check in the door now . Everybody gotta scan a membership. So I scanned my membership QR code on my phone app. Had it open when I shopped the store, but when I went to use it to checkout, it came up as invalid. You had to close the app down and restart it because their system "forgets" the code. Had to have a manager come over to override it and they make you feel like YOU did something wrong. Ridiculous. And that was after standing in a long line for self-checkout. At Sam's I just use the app, scan everything in my cart on my phone as I'm shopping, then walk through the gate and the attendant checks his device and it automatically completes, then you can leave. Takes no time at all. Costco just seems behind the times as far as checkout goes.
I figure at this point Costco is like Salesforce. Companies that are somehow surviving through divine intervention because the economics of it all makes no sense.
