I would buy higher quality bar.
Daaaamnnn, I have the regular plates from the other BalanceFrom deals being delivered today. Wish I found this earlier.
700 lbs means that you should be able to perform a basic barbell squat or bench press without issue. It does NOT give any indication as to how well it handles repeated drops/impacts from things like cleans or deadlifts. It also does not indicated how well the collars spin now, how well they spin over time, and how well the bar resists things like flaking and rust.

Another few things to consider when getting an Olympic style barbell:

Diameter - You might prefer the feel of a wider or thinner bar. (This can also be a major factor in the amount of bend)
Bend - For Olympic lifts, some bend is preferred. For deadlifting, people usually want a stiff bar that bends as little as possible.
Knurling aggressiveness - Preferences differ in how rough they like knurling on bars.
Knurling location - The middle of some bars are smooth, while others have knurling. This knurling provides more grip on something like squats. But it also can rough on your skin for things like cleans. There's also the detail for where and how many gaps there are in the knurling around where your hands go for bench press.

All that being said, one last piece of advice. If you've got the space for multiple bars, it can be helpful to get a cheap bar from a deal to get you going. And then get a second, nicer bar later if you'd like. That might also give you time to learn some of your preferences, and get a 2nd bar that better fits your style. Sometimes it can be really helpful to have a 2nd bar, depending on your workout or if you are working out with someone else.

I need a barbell. Is $65 more to include a barbell worth it, or should I get it separately?

This is tempting but seeing BF is right around the corner, it might make sense to wait. Is there any advantage to these colored ones?

I had my eyes on these for weeks but just bought the metal BalanceFrom plates from the other day. Is there any sense in having a set of rubber and metal plates if all im not doing olympic lifts?

These are bumpers so they are larger in diameter than the other. And they don't have handles. So there are some exercises they are more difficult. Like sit-ups holding a plat etc. the diameter thank can be an issue on racks not made for bumpers. Just a couple thoughts for ya.

I recently put together some equipment for my son, who's playing football. I definitely prefer the cast iron weights unless doing squats, or hex bar work.

Specifically, all BalanceFrom or Hulkfit.

You should still be able to pick up the cast iron deal.

If no Olympic lifts are to be performed where the barbell will be dropped, then it depends in how quiet you want them to be and how many plates you will potentially use. Bumper plates also cost more.
Example using a 45 lb plate (varies according to company):
Bumper plate width: 2.4 inches
Metal plate width: 1.2 inches
Barbell sleeve length: 16.4 inches
Therefore, your barbell will fit 5-6 of the 45-lb bumper plates with a collar secured onto one of the ends. If you use metal, you can see you can fit double the number of plates.
I will never put more than 3 of those plates onto one side, so bumpers win for me because they are quieter and don't damage things as much when dropped.
Note: I have the BalanceFrom and other more expensive bumper plates. They both off-gassed heavily for a month and filled my entire house with chemically smells. I don't notice that anymore unless I get right up close. Maybe leave them out for a week before brining them in; away from the elements of course.
UV will degrade the rubber and rain will corrode the collars. Metal plates won't have this nauseous smell.

It's Walmart. 90 day no-questions-asked return policy.

Buy now, and if you find a better deal for BF, then just return them.

This is by far and away the best price these have ever been and it's not particularly close (went back to ~2021 for reference). The last front page deal had the 260 pound set for $225 (.86c per pound). Colored ones are simply personal preference, but typically come at a premium. If you are in the market, I wouldn't pass this up, I'd be surprised if we see these prices again.

I have both Colored and Black. In addition to personal preference of Colored versus Black, I find that the Colored have little to no smell and are dry and clean, whereas the Black smell very strong for several months and have a slick oily surface even after cleaning and airing out any months. I would go with Colored, unless the Black are significantly cheaper (like half the price cheaper), otherwise go with Colored.

Can anyone who ordered this confirm if the 35s can be canceled like the cast iron deal from 2 days ago?

Oh, wow, I see that in the bundle. That would be an absolute steal if you could delete the 35's out of the bundle.

How much if I deleted everything, and only kept the pair of 45's. That's all I need.

For anyone that wants to take this deal to the next level, I got the 160lb set with the bar and the 260 pound set, they break down like this. Mine are already on their way, but you may be able to cancel the portions you don't want prior to shipment. Worst case, it's a return.

260lb set
45lb pair - $73.68 (.82c per pound)
35lb pair - $66.96 (.96c per pound)
100lb set (2x25, 2x15, 2x10) - $59.35 (.59c per pound)

160lb set w/ bar
Bar - $51.97
45lb pair - $69.06 (.77c per pound)
25lb pair - $42.71 (.85c per pound)
10lb pair - $21.25 ($1.06 per pound)

Thanks for the reply. I'm just debating getting the bumpers for deadlifts
