Keep an eye out…a few days ago Walmart had this set AND the FitRX rack for $150.00. I purchased and the set arrived the next day. They may offer this again.
I purchased this set with the stand for 199 the stand was great the bumbells were garbage. Weight falls of the handles. Be prepared to return.
Yeah these are garbage. Better off waiting for the power block woot deal for $200. Much higher quality and expandable up to 90lb.

This was my experience with them as well. I do not feel safe using them.

Bought these over a year ago, I haven't had issues.

I'll note though:
1. Wish I had a stand for it, it's on the ground and aligning to rerack can be a bit awkward at heavier weights (bought it for a much higher price than this during COVID)
2. The 2.5 increments are really nice, but are not all the way through.

5, 7.5, 10, 12.5, 15, 17.5, 20, 22.5, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, and 52.5 lbs.

The 5-25 is great, if you have plateau sticking points that hover around that 27.5 32.5 42.5 47.5 it's a bit of a bummer they're missing as you progressive overload sometimes a 5lb jump is not optimal. A lot of people argue why would you need weights so light and it's all about what you're working out. If you have a barbell and rack this is covering the specifics you wouldn't be doing like let's say lateral raises. A 5lb jump for lateral raises is huge compared to 2.5lb so it does actually matter. It gets 99% of the way there though IMO it's a good deal and hasn't broken yet for me (no hard drops but not setting it down crazy gently or anything)

I have had nothing but a good experience with them, got the stand too with the Walmart deal and it's a really great set for the price. Maybe you got a bad set

Buy Powerblocks. Their durability lasts a lifetime and will not malfunction. I had the EXP and the Sport 50 and the Sport 50 were better in terms of rapidly and conveniently changing weights

I had these for a week. They're garbage. The plates always get stuck when you're changing weights. I never had an issue with them falling out though. But you gotta really babysit them any time you change weights and I just didn't have time for that going move to move with no breaks in between. It just killed my motivation. The other thing is the length stays the same regardless of weight.

I ended up ponying up for the Quickdraw dumbells from Rep. They are like double the cost but soooo worth it in terms of quality and functionality.
