Get the extended warranty. Ours has had a bunch of problems and only factory techs seem to be able to work on them.

What kind of problems? Did you get the extended warranty directly from Bosch and how much was it?

Unfortunately I passed on the warranty. They've never paid off in the past for major purchases. The most persistent problem is the freezer just quits cooling. I have to unplug the unit, wait and then plug it in again. It will then work for a variable period of time. I've heard reports that techs just keep replacing parts without actually knowing what the problem is. We've also has problems with out 800 series double ovens
