Wow. I didn't think we'd see the remastered HD version this low. (It originally aired and sold in SD).
IMHO remains the best overall series of all time. Many say they find the first few episodes rough going, but an investment in them will pay off.
It's also worth checking out for other reasons. It launched a number of prominent actors. It's had an outsized an enormous cultural influence--especially for a show with mediocre ratings in its day, that was never nominated for a single Emmy.
If you're even somewhat intrigued, it's a no-brainer blind buy at this price.

A really well-made and well-told series, definitely one of the most expertly crafted TV shows of all time. Great characters and actors, superb performances and writing. Definitely a compelling show.

That said, I have zero desire to ever watch it again.

How do you watch streaming media now? If you already use one of these services, you would just use the same app. If you don't, find one that has an app on whatever devices you use and watch it the the app on your TV/tablet/phone/Roku/Fire TV/etc.

Peacock now has the other David Simon show, Homicide, made before this one; you should try it but be aware that The Wire is the superior product. People who complain about the slow pace of the first episodes of The Wire should not attempt this. For them there's always The Shield (also has loose connections with the other two shows.)

I'm pretty sure I not only own this show on physical media but I may have caught a sale from a different service. I do have Max as well but I threw $20 at Apple just as a sign of my love for this show and I want it to be remembered.

Beside BREAKING BAD -- the WIRE totally #2 in Best series ever watched ... I liked the SOPRANOS until last season when writing got lazy and they had the worst ending ever ...
