I've put 70,000 miles on a car with Comma (maybe 50k with Comma engaged). I'd pay full price without thinking twice. Comma really shines on long drives.
For the Chevy Bolt EV & EUV Premiere trim with ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control), it can keep you in the lanes and steer up to a certain degree. It greatly upgrades the stock ACC since the LKAS (lane keep assist system) just ping pongs you between the lane.

If you use FrogPilot (works best for GM cars), it makes the driving experience much more pleasant on long highway drives.

There is a mode where the lateral control will keep you in the lane while you can still use the accelerator/brake or one-pedal. If you have an older model, it can still do it but you'll need what's called a "comma pedal" to make it work.
Not sure about compatability in the future for the Benz, but considering BMW wants a subscription for the heated seats, I would say that's probably for sure off the table.

Should be a great bolt on "FSD" but functionality greatly depends on exact car models. I don't blame them for that, they're limited to what kind of sensors the vehicle already comes with (besides their camera). I find it interesting that older models of the same vehicle I own are compatible yet my current model is not. I suspect this is from lack of testing, since newer vehicles are more likely to have a larger suite of sensors to utilize. e.g. I have a 2025 Honda CRV Touring Hybrid but the latest model I see "compatible" is the 2022.

I think it has more to do with how much access does these new vehicles gives via that OBD port & cruise control. For most vehicles, the unit can't access the gas & brakes directly, so it uses the stock Radar system to basically change the speed and distance control variably to make it work. This is why the these cars have no support for experimental features. For e.g., if the unit detects a stop sign / red signal, it's unable to stop the car because the Radar doesn't detect an obstacle in front and there's no way for the unit to manipulate the radar settings to stop the car (it can slow it down, change distance but not stop). Hence, the experimental modes aren't supported in these cars (without external overrides which could be dangerous).

the compatibility issues are due to manufacturers "locking down" the in-vehicle networks

Seems like Civic 2022-2024 are the best picks but 2016 - 2021 are all compatible.
2016-2018 also support experimental, which could be great I think.

I have FSD on my Tesla, yet I don't like to use it. I trust myself more than any AI at this point in time.

This is the best solution in assisted driver I've ever used, except higher level solutions like Tesla's Auto Pilot. It is smooth and reliable, and super intuitive. I am using Sunnypilot fork.
And recently my worry is that my new car is not on the support list. ...Why did I purchase this car.
