Family member(s) attempted to purchase this TV at Best Buy and the salesman told them, because of Samsung's unreliability, the TV would stop working within a year. Then he tried to upsell them to a $500+ Samsung model. They called me asking my opinion. Wanted to say "Can you hang out for 20 minutes? I want to smack...oops...talk to that salesman.", but I told them to buy the TV and ignore any upsell nonsense. Was that good advice? Is this a bad TV? Was that salesmen targeting them with an upsell because they were elderly?

Unfortunately that happens a lot (up selling)... Samsung TV are fairly reliable but I'm not sure of this specific model..
