Tbh, it's basically personal preference between the Bose and the Sony. Both will be a step or two above the Beats.

Bought the refurbished from BOSE for 143$ and received it. It looks like new one and comes with hard case. I received it after 2 days. It is very light weight but the sound quality is fantastic. I feel like every songs sound very fantastic.

QuietComfort SC Headphones are the same as QuietComfort Headphones but feature a soft carry case instead of a hard carry case, and are only available in Black.

The refurb ones from Bose don't show hard cases but the soft ones in their pictures of what's included. Have others gotten hard cases? Personally I'd prefer getting these new from Costco (if there ever is an issue Costco will make it right) and buying a used hard case on eBay vs used refurbished headphones from Bose with *maybe a new hard case.
I received my refurb headphones from Bose from this weeks deal. It came with a hardcase

Bought these headphones last year while on sale from Costco. Good noise cancelling. Not the best but damn good. Very reliable. Still going strong. Just be gentle with them because it's all plastic.

Am I crazy or is the noise cancellation not that good? Maybe I expected too much because that aspect was over hyped. High pitched noises go right through.

It does sound good and is very comfortable so I will probably keep it

Looks like time to upgrade my aging QC35 headphones. I'm pretty tired of the mini-USB plus and the battery life isn't what it used to be. I refreshed the covers a few years ago to extend the life. Damn, Bose makes good NC headphones. I can't imagine a plane trip without them (never was a fan of babies crying on airplanes).
I recently left my QC35 on a plane. Might get these.

Well just bought these yesterday so I guess they are going back to the store
if you bought in-store, you'll need to take just your receipt to the CS/returns counter and they'll credit you the difference if less than 30 days. If more than 30 days but it's your first time asking for adjustment, they usually still refund the difference.

if you bought it online, you can go to the customer service tab at the top of the page and then 'price adjust' tab. Submit your request and they usually send refund notification within 5 days.

Why? Just pick up a case on Amazon for $17.
$30 cheaper. The refurbs came basically brand new.

Hard case is also a must.
