Sweet deal on a great guitar. This is what Leo fender actually envisioned the Strat should evolve to. These have American hardware and are professional grade instruments.

While they are good guitars, a tribute legacy should be selling for 500 before sale. 750? Get outta here

Good find looks like their basses are on sale too! Including Kiloton which is unfortunately quite tempting…

Never been impressed with Tribute. Made in China for MIM prices. That said, Sweetwater currently has significant discounts on several models.

This is the final evolution of the strat shaped single coil guitar by Leo Fender. He greatly beefed up the trem bridge and created new adjustable pickups for the S500. Unlike today's other Tributes, the MFD pickups are made in USA, and the rest of the electronics are pretty robust. Finish is as good or slightly better than MiM Fenders, though these are made in Indonesia, I believe at a Cort plant? These have the PtB system and can play all 3 pickups at once with a split knob.

They also have the Comanche with ZCoil pickups for $550. While you can find used Legacy Tributes for $350-$450 it's much harder to find S500s and Comanches for near these prices even used.

Mostholycerebus, thanks for the information. At first glance I thought this was the legacy.

Does anyone know of a source for this exact shape pickguard? I would like to change it from white to something else.

Got burned by this vendor … they sent me used guitar when I purchased as new. I'll never do business with them again.

That's totally understandable. Just want to add I've ordered around 7 guitars from them and never had that happen. Also, lots of people have the reverse happen—they order used and receive new.

I get the hesitation, but that sounds like a 1-in-1,000 sort of mistake. Granted Sweetwater likely wouldn't make that mistake at all.
