Did you use a cashback too? I checked yesterday and it was another +5% off maybe, but of course, it takes follow-up with the cash back source for that $50 or so to be sent, which is like 90+ days later (or ~150 days to be more accurate so its a bother). Don't ask me how, google it, haha.

Not sure why you got a downvote.
Intel has a now infamous issue with their 13th and 14th gen processors that can catastrophically destroy not only the CPU but also other components. Even the hard drives.

And yes it could affect mobile processors as well.

I'd be very wary on getting any device with a 13 or 14 gen right now.
And thats all been on desktop CPUs not laptop CPUs. There are zero instances of laptops having this issue. I look across many gaming laptop subreddits and have seen zero post about a laptop dying because of this.

Why? Because the laptop versions use a lot less power than the desktop versions.

I swear I've heard this for EVERY generation - it seems like every single time, there's always an issue(s) where people say to stay away. Yet I really don't actually hear about the actual problem happening other than a random reddit post out of the millions and millions of processors out there.

Does Lenovo have something against Thunderbolt or what? I don't think any of their mid-to-high-range Legions have TB.

Read this: https://www.reddit.com/r/GamingLa...cpu_issue/

From that, it does affect mobile CPUs. Especially the HX chips.

I tried to do the same and it gave me an invalid eCoupon error for both Gamerchoice and 1AS8UOGU5M6H. I can't figure out why.

Yes, I visit that subreddit daily and have read over that post a few times when it was posted months ago.

If you read it, the HX version is the exact same as the desktop version but just tuned down and made for a laptop. But uses the same manufacturing process as the desktop version. The article also states that it is unknown if this issue is in the laptops. As you need to boost the voltage above 1.4v and push it to over 5.5GHz which then it needs to be at this higher usage for a long period, which it usually isn't unless its a high demanding task.

BUT.....the issue lies within not high usage scenario's but low usage scenario's. They are spontaneous and can happen at anytime. And again, I have seen zero reports on these subreddits of a gaming laptop dying because of the Intel CPU issue. Is it a possibility? Sure, but I haven't seen any laptops fail like desktops.

1AS8UOGU5M6H is a sign-up code and is unique to every individual. It won't work for anyone else.
Gamerchoice is valid and is already applied to your cart at checkout.

The code Lenovo automatically applied at checkout is "LEGIONXTRA6". I tried changing it to Gamerchoice with no luck.

Not sure, what appears to be the problem. As you can see from the screenshot that Gamerchoice is already applied:

I just ordered one with config
i7-14700, 32gb ram, 1TB, upgraded screen for 1284.99. I used new customer coupon for additional 50$ off 1234.99. I think urlhasbeenblocked gives 2% cash back as well (if not excluded).
Also, if you talk to customer rep, they can lower it by 30$ IF you don't have the new customer coupon or anything can lower further by 30+$
