Apple haters can't tell you the difference because they sure havent owned both let alone a gen 1.
Why would you pay for a Gen 1 when you can get a Gen 2 for the same or close to the same price.

The gen 1 already had good screen brightness and the battery life from reading a few sources is only half a day longer. Not major changes imo if the price is important.
Why would you pay for a Gen 1 when you can get a Gen 2 for the same or close to the same price.

That said, this watch could be like 2+ years old so you'll roll the dice on battery even with a warranty.
they do have a 30 day return policy.
