Cheaper, more durable, and higher suction. But as someone who owns both a good shop vac AND one of these, this thing gets used daily Vs. monthly.

Why? Convenience. I can just grab this from the wall, suck up the small-medium spill, dump, and it can be back on the wall in the time it would take me to unravel the cord on the shop vac. Plus emptying that thing is obnoxious (and I'm not one to leave food bits rotting in my shop vac for weeks).

Ultimately we were first in our friend-family circle to get a previous gen of this, and now it seems like every time someone watches us use one while they are over, they too get one within a couple of months. The convenience just sells itself, and the only people foofooing this don't get it until they suddenly DO.

The Costco edition doesn't come with the "Built-in dusting and crevice tool" if I am not mistaken.

My V10 was a dyson refurb that worked just fine for 4 years until a kid used it to vacuum up a bunch of water out of a rug.

It's currently sitting disassembled in front of a fan to see if I can bring it back from the dead.

What is Costco's price match policy for retroactively bought products? It'll be less than 60 days from purchase when it goes on sale for BF

In case anyone sees this. The V10 lives! The single flash of 3 lights was the machine telling me it was protecting itself.
