Be Careful,
Had these tires for 2 years that came new on a used car I bought. The original owner put them on because they were cheap at Walmart. Since they came new on a used car I did not have high expectations for these Goodyear tires, but they surprised me. I only have about 5,000 miles on them and they are wearing well.
I have a lot of cars and are very careful of the tires I use and buy. Here's the good and the bad:
First they have no sidewall support or strength. Going into a hard turn they have very little support and bounce back on hard turns so they feel uncontrollable. Not a sports tire. If you park on the street with curbs like I do be careful not to rub against the curb. I have been parking at the same street curb for 20 years with various cars and tires and within a week I touched the curb and this tire popped. Very weak sidewall.
On the plus side they are quiet and roll down the road vibration free. They lack wet or dry grip as compared to any Michelin tire.
So if you mostly go straight and slow on highways this is a fine tire. Just be careful for any turns, potholes, curbs and especially in wet weather and you should be fine.
The H rated Reliant tires have weak sidewalls. The V rated tires are stronger...par/better than the Assurance.
Kind of hard to believe your claim unless some incompetent employee incorrectly told you this. Never seen any tire company offering to replace all 4 tires if only one tire becomes unrepairable.

I bought these a couple of years ago for my teenage son's Prius. I drove it for a while before handing it over to him. No real complaints about the tire. He doesn't drive in the snow yet, so I any comment on traction. Mostly back road driving. Fine for commuting.

Walmart tire installation on the other hand was a complete disaster, but if you deal with that, their mounting and balancing is on the more economical side. I really want to buy my own equipment.

I have these exact tires and size listed on one of my cars. No issues on my county roads or on the open highway. I paid $48 two years ago when they had the same sale. Date code on all 4 was only 2 months old.
Maybe 5k miles on them now. Mounted and balanced myself.

I am thinking of getting a new set for used Prius. I am in the northeast so will see some snow/ice. How do these tire handle that? Also, will these reduce/increase road noise? Thx.

I bought these 2.5 years ago during a July 4th sale. These are reasonably priced tires. But don't buy Walmart's road hazard warranty. When I bought the tires, they told me that with the warranty, they'll replace all the tires even if only one fails and can't be plugged. When that happened this weekend, they told me they only replace the one tire and they had no record of my warranty purchase. I bought the warranty separately from the tires. And I couldn't find the receipt in the glove box. Plus, they didn't have availability to install the tires until next Tuesday. I ended up leaving and getting a set of Cooper's at PEP Boys. Goodyear owns Cooper, Kelly and Douglas. The latter two brands are Goodyear's affordable option at other retailers. The Reliants at Walmart are probably very similar to the Kelly's, which Mavis and PEP Boys sell.

I agree. These are on my cousin's Lexus RX330. Sidewall has a lot flex. They never really drive fast so I'm not worried. Have worked fine for their needs. I wouldn't be afraid to drive fast with these but they won't hold up well for aggressive or spirited driving.

Thanks for explaining the word 'bad' in thousands of characters. That is such a GREAT idea for someone who buys a 20k+ car for only drive in a straight line and is unable to react to any emergency.
