This drone is tempting. Would I need a controller and goggles. Or can I fly FPV with just my phone?

Seems like the combo with the charger + 2 extra batteries for 289 is the way to go? Would be my first drone and the extras seem essential

It's new and hasn't been on sale yet. And there aren't really any competitors to drive down the price at this point.

It's a great drone. So easy my 8 year old runs it no problem.

I wish this used the same battery as the other minis. I'd pick this up just for fun then. Solid price for a very capable entry level drone!

A bit off-topic but what came of those sanctions on Chinese companies for supplying Russia with tech? I think the US lost Cooler Master or Deep Cool on the PC parts side. But I thought I remember DJI being on the ban list too.

It's been a few months now and some brands are no longer selling in the US but did DJI shape up and comply or are they still at risk for being banned in the US?

I have this drone. Using the phone, the range is 50 meters but honestly I started getting nervous way before that. If you buy the controller which is $160, the range increases vastly (2KM if I remember correctly) but even without the controller its very usable and fun. For this price, its a steal.
