Feel like this practice of packing download vouchers into physical cases needs to be stopped. It's very misleading, and I don't care if the disc is just going to install an outdated version of the game that will then have to download an update. Physical should still represent a stand-alone copy of the game that you can play without an internet connection!

It's the only way for game distributors to get digital games on physical store shelves. Sometimes it doesn't make financial sense to mass produce cartridges for a game that's not expected to sell particularly well. Nintendo charges a bunch for their carts.
