I ordered the ASUS - TUF 15.6" Gaming Laptop - Intel Core i7 with 16GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 - 1TB SSD - Mecha Grey deal for $999 before it expired yesterday (won't receive until next week, so I can cancel the order). Is this Dell worth the $170 price increase for the i9 processor (vs i7 in the ASUS) and 32GB RAM (vs 16 in the AUS)?

I'm kind of in the same boat. Ordered an Asus p16 pro art. Already had the boot loop error, luckily fixed by a bios update and a Windows reset.
Wondering if I should just return it for something like this

These two are pretty much on par with one another, i don't think there is any significant differences.

Looking at reviews of this laptop I don't see the wattage of the GPU listed
I did however see that on a i7/4060 version of the Dell G16 the GPU TDP was 115W which is the max for laptop 4060/4070 GPUs. The overall system power supply is 330W ac adapter which is what I see in other similar laptops with 115W TDP for 4060/4070 GPUs.
If I had to guess I would guess that this laptop has 115W TDP for the 4070 GPU, but we shouldn't have to guess. Booooo Dell.
With the 10% off this is pretty slick. Especially if you can stack with cash back sites and an amex dell offer. Also dell is giving double points on the order as well.
Got almost the exact same machine from the Dell outlet last week (16gb instead of 32gb), Received it Friday night, so far it's pretty good.I purchased an additional 16gb to make it 32gb and dual channel.it was $995 before 11% cash back and 6% credit card cash back. So total $920 including tax and cost of ram upgrade.Pretty good deal.
This. Got a like new from Dell Outlet for 900ish before taxes. They have been dropping a 17% off every few days, so keep an eye out. Only difference is the RAM.. Mine came with a 16 GB stick, bought another one matching one for like 50 bucks.. Same warranty as new. Also, this model unofficially supports 64GB of RAM.. Two high speed SSD slots.. Great display.. I have been dabbling with LLP development and also using Davinci Resolve and Premiere.. Handles it all like a beast. Personally I couldn't be happier..

Also, this is the newer G16.. 7630 and not 7620.. They have made some improvements over the previous gen. 7630 borrows it's cooling tech from Alienware..
