Agreed, I've never seen much in terms of quality with Dell's G series. Nits are usually much lower than other laptop models as well. They're certainly cheap, but I'm not sure it's worth it for how many corners they cut for the cost.
EDIT: I see you used lower case "gm" so that would be gigamits...
