I have this unit. It works fine and quiet. The problem is when you need warranty repair, expect to wait 2 weeks for the 1st appointment, 3 weeks for pump part order, and another 2 weeks for the installation. Techs are not busy, they said it is policy with whirlpool for a 2 weeks wait period. I was mad.

It's not policy to add a delay

It's just Whirlpool using lowest bid, lowest quality, overworked repair companies for warranty work. These companies are financially incentivized to not only take as long as possible for authorized repairs by prioritizing new repair calls over your actual repair, but they are incentivized to deny warranty repairs as well and not even think twice doing so before moving onto the next call (a typical tech working for an authorized warranty appliance repair company will have 20-30 calls per day). The company actually make more money, on an hourly basis, hitting up as many repair appointments as possible and denying warranty work, than actually doing the warranty work. The company basically breaks even on performing actual warranty repairs (they don't make any profit on the parts, and the labor reimbursement from Whirlpool is just enough to cover labor and overhead costs pretty much, leaving little or no profit). A company paying a tech $21/hr but collecting (25) $72.50 service call fees from Whirlpool is much more profitable than having a tech get bogged down in a fixed reimbursement 2-4 hrs rebuild of a Whirlpool washing machine and then the repair company being on the hook for labor if something goes wrong again within the warranty period (the repair company now "owns" the repair work from Whirlpool's standpoint)

The Whirlpool authorized repair company for my region, is not only incompetent, they commit outright warranty fraud by telling customers one thing, then they go and write up fake notes claiming customer caused physical damage, and then Whirlpool denies the claim the next day. And if you try and ask why it was denied, the company will refer you to Whirlpool. We have learned to request secondary option repair companies, and usually Tier 1 reps will initially refuse but we will persist. And they will send out a more competent company.

Note

the dishwasher itself may be even cheaper if buying locally

example local appliance retailer to the PA/NJ/DE Tri-State area ($379). they have a location that's 10 mins from me, and dishwashers fit perfectly in my SUV (make sure when loading in your vehicle if it needs to be put on its side, that "FRONT" on box is facing up so you don't risk damaging anything

Quiet? It says "55 dBA quiet dishwasher" 55 dBA is not quiet. I would consider DW in the 38-43 dBA quiet.
