Here is RTING's review of the 65" model, where they said it has 88 local dimming zones and has a VA panel. Don't know if both of those apply to the 75" model though.

They gave the TV an overall 8.1/10. [rtings.com]

The Sony X90L is a great TV overall. Thanks to its high peak brightness, it's great for watching shows or sports in a bright room. It also looks fantastic in a dark room, whether gaming or watching movies, thanks to its high contrast ratio and full array local dimming feature, and it gets bright enough to bring out bright specular highlights in HDR. Thanks to its low input lag and quick response time, it's great for gaming, and it supports advanced gaming features like VRR. That said, it has a narrow viewing angle, so it isn't a good choice for a wide seating arrangement.

I don't know if the TV will be the same seller when it goes live or not. Walmart's site said there were only two remaining in stock earlier so it's possible the seller may change (or just restock).

I have noticed as soon as they change price other retailers too. Right now the prices are identical to Costco. This may be controlled by Sony so it's good news if one of the authorized dealers is saying dec 1 price would be 900. How did you find out the future pricing?

Walmart had a public press release go out this morning. While they didn't say this was the model of the TV, this is the only one that matches the product name/info/msrp listed on their site so I believe it's correct.

How is this compared to the 75 inch Hisense from Costco? Both same price.

Hi, my 2018 LG 55" OLED55C8P has got horrible burn in.

I have 9ft distance, so I'm thinking of getting a bigger 65"-77" depending on price.

What TV's would you guys suggest at 1k ish and under?

I was pretty disappointed with LG and my TV and how I was treated regarding the Burn In. It's been bad for years now.

I play sports video games, and watch hi def 4k content HDR/SDR and sports the most.

I have a Denon AVR-X3400H receiver and nice speakers so sound doesn't matter.

I'm looking at the:

Panasonic W95,Panasonic OLED Z95 if on deal

Hisense U8

TCL QM8

Sony X90L, Sony X93L if on deal

Samsung S90C OLED or Samsung S90D

Hisense is fine I was tempted too since it's mini led but Sony is Sony. You do pay for the brand but this tv is no slouch but definitely not as good mini led's like Bravia 7 or even higher Bravia 9. I guess once would only noticing side by side otherwise this has same image processing and same engine as the Bravia 7 so upscaling is best. Hisense would be definitely brighter but not accurate in terms of colors and definitely not as good upscaling.
Also reliability may not be as good as Sony so pick your poison

I bought the 65" version of this tv last year for $1000 - $200 gift card I got for signing up for the prime visa card. This is a solid deal for a good tv with great up-scaling.

I'll definitely be checking for this.

Was going to get an LG or Samsung until I started reading and watching videos about burn-in problems in OLEDs.

The better picture quality of the OLED isn't enough to make me buy a TV I might have to replace in 4 or 5 years due to burn-in.
